Although I was back in the squad last weekend, I didn’t play. This weekend, I hope I can. I will start on the bench but there is a good chance of me getting half an hour. I have been training with the rest of the lads all week and doing everything they have been doing and it all looks fine.

I’m very happy about the result of the game against Milan. Nobody expected to go through easily, not even after we won in Milan. and it really wasn’t easy.. Milan played hard from the start.
Claude Makelele

You only had to see the joy of our celebrations on Saturday to see what it meant to retain the Premiership title. To share the moment with our own fans made it even more special.
Xabi Alonso

I'm not the kind of person who rushes to swap shirts at the end of a game but if I am playing against someone special then I will make an effort. For example, I've got shirts from Alan Shearer, Mauro Silva and Roy Keane at home, all of whom I think are fantastic players.
Gianluigi Buffon

I enjoyed myself a lot, and this time not on the pitch but behind the microphone for Fiorella’s radio broadcast that I took part in a few days ago. I wasn’t expecting it to go as well as it did, and the two hundred kids who followed the programme in front of us were really enthusiastic.
Kevin Kuranyi

The sunshine during the first week in May has not raised my mood one bit. Believe me, our negative run at Schalke is responsible for this. In the League we hardly have any chance left of reaching the qualifying places for the Champions League.
Edgar Davids

Now that’s what you call a narrow escape. The Spurs had all the luck in the world against Bolton yesterday. They played a very good game and we were under pressure for the better part of the match. This hasn’t been the case for a long time.
